My Chemical Brothers not reuniting

Los Angeles, Jul 23 (IANS): Contrary to rumours, American rock band My Chemical Brothers has confirmed it won't be reuniting to mark the 10th anniversary of their popular song and album, "The Black Parade".

Despite a mysterious teaser appearing online earlier this week, featuring a flag with a black cross on it and the date 9.23.16 being displayed, the band has shot down reunion rumours, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The group wrote on its official Twitter handle: "We have been really touched and blown away to the response to the teaser trailer. We are not touring and there is no reunion planned - only a release for the anniversary of 'The Black Parade'.

"Thanks so much for continuing to keep MCR in your hearts and in your minds," the statement said.

"The Black Parade" was the third studio album of My Chemical Brothers, which was released in 2006. It will be reissued on September 23, but there's no update on whether or not the record will include any new additions or new material.
