Nagarjuna turns singer for 'Nirmala Convent'

Chennai, Jul 23 (IANS): Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna has crooned a song, "Kotha kotha bhasha" for his upcoming Telugu production "Nirmala Convent". He hopes his fans and music enthusiasts love his attempt at crooning a new-age love song.

In the film, there are two versions of the song one crooned by A.R Rahman's son A.R Ameen, and another by Nagarjuna.

"I just got hooked to this beautiful love song sung by A.R Ameen and I decided that this is the song I should croon in my own voice. I loved the way it shaped out. I hope my fans and music enthusiasts will love this beautiful, heartwarming, new-age love song," Nagarjuna said in a statement.

Directed by G. Naga Koteshwara Rao, "Nirmala Convent" stars Roshan and Shreya Sharma in the lead roles.

"This craving of Nagarjuna didn't surprise me at all. He was at his best rendering the beautiful love song," the film's composer Roshan Salur said.

The trailer of this song was unveiled on Friday in cinemas along with Rajinikanth's "Kabali".

Nagarjuna will release the song via Twitter on Saturday at 6 p.m., while the music video will be unveiled on Sunday.
