Udupi, Nov 23: Head of Jan Shakti party, Uma Bharti is all set to rejoin the BJP. Speaking to presspersons, Pejawar Mutt pontiff Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji said; “in the interest of keeping the Hindu forces united in Gujarat, I had urged the BJP national President Rajanath Singh to take back Uma Bharathi into the party fold. Some other ‘sanths’ had also supported this view a two months back. Rajnath has now agreed for the same and Uma is ready to rejoin the BJP.”
“I am not doing this to support any party; but for the benefit of Hindutwa,” Swamiji added. Swamiji opined that the developments in the state politics were disgusting.
“Parading JD(S) MLAs before the Governor in support of the BJP and later betraying is anti-democratic,” he said. Swamiji who had opposed the elections one month back, now demanded the immediate mid-term poll. “Now the political situation is different,” Swamiji replied. Swamiji reserved his comments on the controversy over Putthige Swamiji ascending the Paryaya Sarvajna Peetha, till November 28.
