Mangalore, Nov 23: Mother superior general Piercarla Mauri of Sisters of Charity, with their headquarters located at Milano, in Italy paid a visit to St Ann’s Group of Institutions, namely, St Ann’s Nursing College and Hospital, managed by Lobo Teachers' Foundation, situated at Mulky, near here recently. Mother General was offered traditional welcome by Eric Lobo, chairman, Lobo Teachers Foundation and Sr Lucy, principal, St Ann’s Nursing College.
Eric Lobo acknowledged the self-less service of Sisters of Charity who are involved in discharging their duties at St Ann’s Group of Institutions, located in the rural area.
Mother superior general, Piercarla Mauri said that the Sisters of her congregation serving at St Ann’s Group of Institutions have rendered yeomen's service. Moreover, she stressed on the need to provide quality-oriented education to the youngsters. Besides this, she appealed the nursing students to be genuinely service oriented in their vocation.
Dr Ashwat Narayan, chairman, Padmashree Group of Educational Institutions, Dr Rajesh Shenoy, chairman, board of studies, Rajeev Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Lucy Lobo, Lily Lobo, founder trustees, Oliven Crasta, principal, St Ann’s School of Nursing and sisters were present at the occasion.
Mother superior general also visited the Chethana Hospital, situated at Karnad, being managed by St Ann’s Group of Institutions, under Lobo Teachers Foundation and inaugurated newly-built 24-hour drug store.
