Udupi, Jul 24: District Mahila Congress organised a seminar on 'Leadership in Politics' at Congress Bhavan, Brahmagiri here on Saturday July 23.

Speaking on the occasion, MLC Prathap Chandra Shetty said, “Today nearly 50% of women participation can be seen in politics. This workshop is very meaningful to create leadership qualities among women. Public support is always there with a true servant. Party helps in developing a person politically. Public always opt and support honest persons.”

“The other face of social service is conflict. People vote a sincere social worker who has will power to fulfil people's need. Sincerity is a common measure which counts during election,” he said.

Appreciating works of Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandez, MLC said, “All works which were done by Oscar are incredible. Simplicity makes man perfection. It enhances leadership quality of a politician. The person who fails in polls should work for people by avoiding all his pains. Only then he can succeed to get the trust of people.”
