Peace bus service between Srinagar, Muzaffarabad to resume


Srinagar, Jul 25 (IANS): The "Karvan-e-Aman" peace bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad in Pakistan will resume on Monday after a two weeks suspension, officials said.

"After remaining suspended for two weeks, the Karvan-e-Aman bus service will resume today (Monday)," a senior police officer told IANS.

"All passengers scheduled to leave for Muzaffarabad are advised to reach the state road transport corporation (SRTC) yard in Bemina area of Srinagar city in the morning," the official added.

The peace bus service was started in 2005 to facilitate reunion of divided families.
