Blackbuck case: Rajasthan HC acquits Salman Khan

July 25, PTI : In a huge relief for Bollywood actor Salman Khan, the Rajasthan high court on Monday acquitted him in the Jodhpur blackbuck and chinkara poaching cases.

Khan was accused of killing a blackbuck and a chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998.

The actor had appealed to the Rajasthan high court challenging a lower court's verdict that convicted him and sentenced him to one and five years in jail for the two cases of poaching.

The high court completed hearing the cases in the last week of May but reserved its decision at the time.

Khan was accused of killing one of the animals in Bhawad on the outskirts of Jodhpur on September 26, 1998, and another in Ghoda Farms on September 28, 1998.

At that time of the alleged incidents Khan was shooting for the film "Hum Sath Sath Hain" in Jodhpur.

One question to all political leaders....We pay tax for improvements and good governance. Why we have to pay to solve such stupid things? Now the court must ask who ever filed the case to pay all the expenditure. Thousand and millions are homeless, no food, no water......Promises are made by all government why no case for such stupids and why no death sentence for such criminals who always bluff us????? Why?????Why????Why????????????

Can Supreme Court take action on it. If any political leader promise before or after election they must fulfill that before next election comes. If they failed to do so then, they must get punishment plus no contesting in election forever.

If a land cruiser can drive on its own over a footpath and can kill a homeless man, then certainly blackbuck can commit suicide.

Sorry to say Indian courts should learn from GCC countries. They spare none when it comes to Judgement and Justice.

If Salman had committed such crime in any of those countries today he would have been hanging only as a photo in his or his fans house.

It is not surprising news...as India is Banana Republic where the influential & politicians are acquitted in criminal cases, even their sentences are reduced and freed another classic example Lalu & Sanjay Dutt freed before they finish their sentences...also it seems the entire Judiciary is influenced by corrupt politicians.. they may take command from politicians rather than acting independently.
