DCW forwards domestic violence case against AAP MLA to police

New Delhi, July 30 (IANS): The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) on Saturday handed over a domestic violence case against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Manoj Kumar to the Delhi Police.

A complaint alleging domestic violence and mental cruelty against Kumar was filed by his wife earlier this month, DCW said.

"The Commission had summoned both parties thrice. After counselling them and understanding the issue in detail, we found the case fit to be transferred to the Delhi Police for further action," a DCW official said.

The AAP MLA and his wife were summoned by DCW on July 18, 23 and 30 respectively.
