Two soldiers killed in accidental blast in Kargil


Jammu, July 31 (IANS): Two soldiers were killed on Sunday when they accidentally stepped on a mine near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kargil sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Ladakh region, an army official said.

"The two soldiers of a patrol party accidentally stepped on a mine, triggering a blast. Both were killed," said Col. S.D. Goswami, spokesman of the army's Udhampur-headquartered Northern Command.
