Mangaluru, Aug 2: A missing woman was traced with the help of newly bought mobile SIM card.

Safana (20) from Kumpala was missing since July 21. She was traced in Hosur, Bengaluru by the Ullal police. They brought her back home from there on Saturday, July 30.

Safana, employed in a tailoring shop in Thokkottu, had gone for work and went missing. A complaint was registered in Ullal police station regarding the matter.

As the news of her missing was published in the media, a mobile shop owner in Thokkottu told the police that Safana had bought a new SIM card from him. Police tracked her new number and came to know that she was in Bengaluru. They went there and found her.

Safana has said that she went to Bengaluru after seeing an advertisement in a newspaper which offered a salary of Rs 25,000 per month.
