BSP leaders who commented on Dayashankar's daughter recognised

Lucknow, Aug 3 (IANS): At least three Bahujan Samaj Party leaders were identified from a video for making foul, objectionable and obscene remarks against former BJP leader Dayashankar Singh's minor daughter, an official said on Wednesday.

State BSP chief Ram Achal Rajbhar and some other second rung leaders were among the 22 BSP members who made objectionable remarks against Singh's daughter. They will be pressed with provisions of POSCO, the official privy to the investigation told IANS.

Swati Singh, the expelled BJP leader's wife, has demanded the addition of provisions of POCSO against those persons as the abuses hurled on her minor daughter have bruised her psyche for all times to come.

In an FIR, Singh's family had demanded that the BSP leaders be arrested for their disparaging comments.

"A threadbare examination of the video has revealed that three leaders -- Ram Ache Rajbhar, Atar Singh Rao and Naushad Ali -- made indecent remarks against the minor girl. They shall be framed under POCSO Act now," the official said.

A war of words broke out between the BSP and the Bharatiya Janata Party after Singh likened BSP chief Mayawati to a sex worker and alleged that she went for the highest bidder in giving tickets.

Dayashankar Singh, who was slapped with many charges and expelled from the party, is in in judicial custody now.
