Mother, son killed on Gurgaon expressway


Gurgaon, Aug 4 (IANS): A 42-year-old woman and her son, 18, were mowed down by a truck on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway killing both of them on spot, police said on Thursday.

Santosh Devi was returning to her home in Chakkarpur village on Mehrauli-Gurgaon (MG) road with her son Anand after visiting a relative's house in Jharsa village close to Sector 32.

Police officer Trilok Chand said they were riding a two-wheeler which was mowed down by the truck near Rao Tula Ram Chowk (Signature Tower) late Wednesday night.

He said that Santosh was employed at a private school as a helper and Sonu was a class 11 student.

The driver of truck managed to flee with the vehicle.
