IAF trainer aircraft crashes

Kolkata, Aug 4 (IANS): A Hawk advanced jet trainer of the Indian Air Force crashed in Midnapore district of West Bengal around 11 a.m., shortly after taking off from Kalaikunda Air Force base.

Both pilots ejected safely.

The IAF has ordered a Board of Inquiry into the crash.
