Two Britons arrested over Syria terror offences


London, Aug 9 (IANS): Two men were arrested on Tuesday over suspected Syria-related terrorism offences in England's Coventry city.

The men, aged 32 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of financing terrorism, BBC reported citing police as saying.

They were arrested at two separate addresses where officers were continuing to carry out inquiries.

"The arrests were part of a continuing investigation and were intelligence led. There was no immediate threat to public safety," BBC reported, quoting a police official as saying.
