Modi reaches out to Kashmir youth, appeals for peace

Alijapur, Aug 9 (Agencies): Prime Minister Modi reached out to Kashmiris on Tuesday appealing for peace and harmony in the troubled state.

Addressing a public gathering at Alijapur in Madhya Pradesh, Modi called upon the Kashmiri youth to restore the state as paradise on earth.

“Only a handful of misled people are hurting the great land of Kashmir. India loves Kashmir.”

Modi's statement came a day after J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti urged him to bring peace in Kashmir following Vajpayee’s footsteps.

"When Vajpayee was PM, he had adopted Insaniyat, Kashmiriyat and Jamooriyat. We are his followers,” said Modi in his speech.

“I want to tell people of Kashmir it can also have the azadi that India feels," Modi added.

More details are awaited.

Guys, why blame BJP or Congress, no matter who is in power we have a terrorist nation just besides us creating all the unrest in the border areas, and regretfully this will NOT STOP no matter which government is in power. So let's unite and STOP blaming each other.

If the violence and terrorism in India has to stop, then there must be a change of heart, mind and soul and a true desire to live in peace with itself (Pakistan) and with neighbour India.

Kashmir is only an excuse to create trouble in our land and this is the nature of the beast living in our backyard.

So regretfully we Indians will have to live with this torn in our side till either we succumb and give in, or they stop and want to live in peace.

BJP can not handle any situation within the country, be it in Gujarat - Patidar /Dalit movement, Be it in Haryana - Jat movement, Be it in Punjab - drugs issue. There is overwhelming evidence to indicate BJP is a utter failure.

Can anyone imagine BJP in 1947 and handling the situation then?
These guys may be hiding in their rat holes and did nothing. Today they are preaching. Next time anyone asks what congress did? Return the question back to them - which hole BJP n RSS leaders were hiding?
