Mangaluru: Usual petty quarrel with wife- Man hangs self at Bondel

Daijiworld Media Network-Mangaluru (RJP)

Mangaluru, Aug 15: The couple used to have arguments on regular basis. But they would patch up after a while as all couples do as their neighbours have witnessed. Nobody thought a petty usual quarrel on Sunday would lead to the death of the husband. The husband hanged himself after he fought with his wife and beat her up injuring her. Guilt about his action, or fear of people could have been the reason for the extreme step.

Chandrashekar (38) from Krishnanagar in Bondel is the person who deceased.

As per details, Chandrashekar and his wife Sunitha had a petty quarrel as usual at 5.30 pm on Sunday. Angered during the quarrel, Chandrashekar started beating up Sunitha. Sunitha, who got injured in the act, left the house saying she would get admitted to Wenlcok government hospital.

Chandrashekar must have thought this would put him into trouble. He went to the bedroom and locked himself leaving the son aged 4 years in the living room. His son started crying with his mother not around and father locked up inside the room.

The neighbours started coming to the house one by one after hearing the boy crying. They knocked the door and asked Chandrashekar to come out. This must have put him into more embarrassment or he must have thought that they were after him for beating up and injuring his wife. He did not open the door at all.

When the neighbours broke open the door, Chandrashekar was found hanging.

Kavoor police have registered a case.

In healthy married life there should be quarrels there should be arguments, believe me! If u have not come across any argument in your life then I can say your marital life is not healthy!! Something has gone wrong somewhere!! And you better consult a psychiatrist!
Suicide is definitely not acceptable !

Hard decisions, unpredictable and unreliable times often provoke couples to choose a easier way to take a drastic step without thinking of its consequences or the impact left on the near and dear ones. Splitting up amicably is an option provided there are no hard feelings once the split has resulted. Granted that it is extremely difficult to live together as a couple but nowadays the trend is slowly changing to make a relation last but if you take your partner to be your good friend instead of all the time seeking love is another new option. That s basically the reason why we (Christians) are not permitted to amicably split ways via an annulment through the concerned diocese or from the Holy Father UNLESS the case is a real pertinent one. The bible says what God has made man must not divide. It is that essence of life that upholds family virtues and teaches us to adapt to all situations irrespective how one faces it / views it.

Wives dont scold or quarrel with your husbands. Talk with them in a feminine way/manner.Thats all. If you quarrel always the gents will fed up and as a last resort they embrace this kind of ending.

Very much true Cynthia. It's quite natural that husband and wife argue and fight with each other and they patch up very soon. An old adage goes that "ganda hendathiya jagala thindundu malaguvarege".

Real men do not beat - Very True. Also Real Women do not fight for petty issues. Women used to fight for their kids rights or against the infideality of her men. Today many women fight largely with their own ignorance and arrogance. It is hard for men to accept constant nagging, without making a mistake. This also need to be considered.

Very very sad to read this tragic news early in the morning. What a great loss for the entire family due to a petty quarrel? This will be a lesson and an eye opener for all of us. Now, wife lost husband and son lost father.

May his soul rest in peace and almighty give strength and courage to his wife and family.
