Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri conned of Rs 6 lakh in credit card fraud


Mumbai, Aug 17(Mid-day): Bollywood actress and model Nargis Fakhri has reportedly been cheated of around Rs 6 lakh via false transactions made on her credit card in the United States.

According to reports, Fakhri, a US citizen got her card blocked following the fraud, and even filed a complaint at the Juhu police in Mumbai late on Monday.

Media reports have claimed that tricksters first copied the credit card information of the actress, and then made a clone card, after which as many as 14 transactions totalling over $9,000 were made.

While cops stated that the cloned card was used to withdraw money, the actress, who is in Mumbai, reportedly said that she got text alerts from the bank showing ‘shopping payment’

Further investigations are on in the matter.
