Russia stripped of women's relay gold of 2008 Olympics

Moscow, Aug 17 (IANS): Russia has been stripped of the 4x100 metres women's relay gold of the 2008 Beijing Games, after track and field athlete Yulia Chermoshanskaya failed the re-analysis of her anti-doping test, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has said.

As part of this process, Russia's gold medal for the women's 4x100m relay, in which Chermoshanskaya participated, is withdrawn, the IOC added, reports Efe.
