Great incentive for the Catholics of Bahrain to have the eminent presence of Bishop Aloysius from Mangalore for the Feast of Nativity. These are some of the best gestures on the part of the Bishop to motivate not only the Catholics of Mangalore but also the Catholics of many other places within India and outside India that are working so hard in Bahrain and dedicating themselves in fulfillment of their jobs.

Sacred Heart Church has so many fond memories of the past that go back to sixty years. The Chuch was well organized then under Rev. Fr. Connolly and then many other priests that followed him. The Bishop of our Diocese was based in Aden because the British controlled the entire British protectorate from Aden.

Its nice to read that Ronald Oliveira is going to conduct his Konkany play for the benefit of the audience followed by lunch.

Bahrain has always been the most pleasant place for Indian expatriates to live and prosper peacefully throughout the history of Bahrain. There was a "DIAS FAMILY" in Bahrain nearly 100 years ago and I understand that Catholic religious services used to tke place in Dias residence before the Sacred Heart Church was built. Those were the days of the past the faith in God was still a living history and people coming from outside for work were protected with all the safety added with peace and harmony.

We might visit Bahrain some time in the not too distant future when our son is going to be stationed over there on behalf of the U.S. Navy.

May God bless Bahrain all the time.
