Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Aug 20: Criminal investigation department (CID) deputy superintendent of police (DySP), H T Chandrashekhar, has been appointed as the investigating officer into the case of murder of entrepreneur, Bhaskar Shetty.

Since the last couple of days, a team led by CID superintendent of police, Dr D C Rajappa, has been putting together details of the case.

After CID took over this case, care is taken to see that information does not get leaked. Although one of the accused, Niranjan Bhat, had said that remains of Shetty's incinerated body, and other items had been thrown into rivulets at Palli Kelkar and Kadandale, the officials have not so far given information about any major find at these places. Bhat reportedly told that in addition to ashes and bones of Shetty, cellphone, watch, pepper spray bottle, bottle of poison, rod, bricks, tiles etc were discharged into rivulets at three places. The CID team might undertake fresh efforts to trace them.

The CID investigating team which visited Nandalike on Friday is learnt to have got some important documents. The team, in addition to inspecting the site where the Homa was held and surrounding places, also questioned locals including Kittu Maistry who repaired the Homa Kunda recently. The team also obtained statements from Bhaskat Shetty's mother and family members at the government guest house at Bannanje.

Inspector general of police, Arun Chakravarthy, visited the house of Niranjan Bhat at Nandalike on Friday afternoon and also the rivulets where the items remaining after burning the body were reportedly thrown.

I wonder why they did not get the help of dog squad. I hope the trained dog can follow the path from last position of the victim to the car he was taken and then if it can smell the route the car took until the present location.

An efficient, upright, impartial officer who also handled & solved similar kind of cases can solve this case too, though it seems to be a tough case.

Let us keep strong hope that DySP H T Chandrashekhar,is one among the upright officer and come out with truth and render justice to all concerned.

It looks like mother and son including Bhatta cooked up the story as pre-planned one to divert the case. Murder has happened but I have doubt that, they burnt the dead body in Homakunda at Bhatta's house. The real story yet to come out. The real intelligent investigation is required here.

The talking point is still about alleged murder..., till now there is no prima facie evidence about the murder is neither traced nor collected,
.... sorry to see the situation.., the body language of the accused make me feel to some extent rely on Brother in law of Mr Bhaskar Shetty's statement that he is not murdered(an insider confession).

Let us wait for the truth to come out...., lot of surprise mysteries is not ruled out.

Day in & day out it seems like the investigating authority/officers are in a state of confusion & clueless.
