Mangaluru, Aug 21: BJP national president Amit Shah on Sunday August 21 flagged off the bike rally organized by the north and south blocks of BJP Yuva Morcha as part of BJP's nation-wide 'Tiranga Yatra' campaign.
Amit Shah inaugurated the bike rally at Pumpwell in the presence of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Shah then rode pillion with Nalin Kumar and joined the bike rally.
BJP state president Yeddyurappa too sat pillion with a party worker.
Amit Shah, Nalin Kumar and Yeddyurappa along with many other participants wore helmets, while some others did not.
About 300-400 bikes were part of the rally that proceeded to Ullal and then to Mangalore University campus in Konaje.
Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda, BJP state general secretary C T Ravi and other leaders also took part in the rally.
Earlier in the morning, Amit Shah visited the BJP district office and planted a sapling in the presence of party leaders Nalin Kumar Kateel, B S Yeddyurappa and others.
The 'Tiranga Yatra' was officially flagged off by Nalin Kumar Kateel on Saturday August 20 at St Agnes College.
