Udupi, Aug 23: The much-expected breakthrough has not been happening in the case pertaining to entrepreneur, Bhaskar Shetty's murder. Although a criminal investigation department (CID) team led by superintendent of police, Dr D C Rajappa, has been holding investigation, there has not been much headway as expected.
Perhaps because of this, deputy inspector general of police (DIG), CID, Sonia Narang, herself has jumped into the fray. On Monday August 22, Narang visited Nandalike where she checked the home of Niranjan Bhat where Shetty's body was reportedly consigned to flames, and also Hotel Durga International in the city owned by Shetty, The team visited the office of Bhaskar Shetty and conducted checking.
