NSG defused bomb at DRDO building, says DG; DRDO denies

New Delhi, Aug 23 (IANS): National Security Guard Director General R.C. Tayal on Tuesday claimed the NSG defused a bomb at the DRDO building two months back but the DRDO said it was a "vintage bomb".

Tayal, at an event, said an IED was found in DRDO Bhawan two months back, and the NSG defused it when no other agency was able to handle it.

DRDO sources however clarified that the bomb was found at Metcalfe House in north Delhi, which used to be the old DRDO office.

"The incident happened long back... It was a vintage ordnance found during excavation for some construction," a DRDO official told IANS.
