Udupi: Senior CID officials take increased interest in Bhaskar case, any breakthrough?

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Aug 24: As all the five arrested accused in the Bhaskar Shetty murder case will be produced in court today, there has been no news about any major breakthrough in the case.

The fact that a number of senior CID officials swooped down on the town to investigate this case on Tuesday gave confusing signals. Was it because the department has not been able to get a clearer picture of what happened, or whether they have hit a jackpot of information about the murder? The officials of the department are tight-lipped now.

CID additional director general of police, Pratap Reddy, inspector general of police, H C Kishore Chandra, superintendent of police, Dr D C Rajappa along with DIG, Sonia Narang, gave impetus to the ongoing investigation by collecting additional information from the family members of Bhaskar Shetty.

As CID arguably has suspicion about the Homakunda in the house of Niranjan Bhat at Nandalike, extensive checking is going on there.

Secret meetings

The team has also visited the banks of rivulets where Niranjan claims to have thrown the ash and other by products at the end of the Homa. CID officials have been holding meetings secretly to exchange ideas and information, with the stated purpose of cracking the case at the earliest.

As senior officials have entered the fray there is a chance that the case might reach its logical conclusion. But initial negligence of police and lapses in their investigation have put undue stress on the process of investigation, it is gathered.

In the meanwhile, it is learnt that CID deputy inspector general of police, Sonia Narang, gave a dressing down to police personnel of Manipal station for their lackadaisical approach to the case in initial stages. Narang continued to stay put in the city on second day on Tuesday, and in all likelihood, she may remain here on the third day on Wednesday to oversee production of the accused in the court.

Hearing of the application made by the police for permission to match DNA of Bhaskar Shetty by collecting DNA of his mother and brothers is also coming up in the court today.

Findings of the reports and clips it appears Girish the former Circle Inspector under the jurisdiction of the area Bhaskar shetty was murdered is the main conspirator of the Bhaskar shetty's murder. In the first instance he has rejected the disappearance complaint filed by Gulabi shetty mother of slain Bhasker shetty. While interrogation of the accused and transporting them in police vehicle he has shown that he is under obligation of the accused. Which created a serious doubt to the public those have closely monitored the scene. Its a great embarrassment to the police force so the investigation is not reaching to the point. That's it.

People must be careful on arriving at conclusions before the investigation is over! It's very difficult for a third person to understand what's been going through within the four walls of a family. The actual truth is known only to family members who are involved in the crime or incident. Only point to be noted in this case is if the lady concerned had extramarital relationship with this man, would her grown up son support her rather than his father? Realistically, it's not possible unless there is more than what we all know. I also heard from people who know Niranjan Bhatt that he is a gentle soul and very helpful in nature and a good friend of her son. Yes, he would have finally got involved with the crime, that possibility is there. And killing a person under any circumstances is unpardonable. Overall, this is a complicated case and investigation needs to cover all angle carefully to arrive at a final conclusion.

Not only the three main accused Rajeshwari, Navaneeth, and Niranjan should get severe punishment, but also two police officers, a senior Lawyer and a Swamiji who are behind destroying the evidence should also be exposed.

Mr.Ravikiran, please correct your sentense, which Swamiji you are talking about?

Niranjan's father is not a Swamiji, please note & use the correct word.

Rest of your opinion I do agree.

Mr. Masif, if you think banning this two media Channels will minimise the crime, then you should also ask to ban 95% of Indian movies.

Frankly speaking there is no Sense for the Sensor board, how they sensor the movies & Serials? All just eye wash. That's all.

    No one protects against them?
