Aarushi murder case: Nupur Talwar gets 3-week parole to visit unwell mother


New Delhi, Aug 29 (Agencies) : The Allahabad High Court on Monday granted parole for three weeks to Nupur Talwar, convict in the sensational Aarushi Talwar murder case, to visit her unwell mother. Nupur and her husband Rajesh Talwar were convicted for the gruesome killings of Aarushi Talwar and their domestic help Hemraj by the CBI court in 2012.

The dentist couple were sentenced to life imprisonment by the court.

14-year-old Aarushi was found dead at her Noida based flat on May 16, 2008. It was initially suspected that Hemraj had killed Aarushi. However, the case took a shocking turn when Hemraj’s body was recovered two days later from the terrace of the same flat.

The case was first being investigated by the Noida police but it was transferred to the CBI following media pressure. And after five years of investigation, the couple were found guilty of the murder and were sentenced to life imprisonment.
