UP government okays cashless medical treatment for staff

Lucknow, Aug 30 (IANS): Keeping its promise, the Uttar Pradesh government will make available cashless medical treatment to its employees and pensioners, an official said on Tuesday.

A government order (GO) in this regard has been issued, Principal Secretary (Medical Health and Family Welfare) Arun Sinha said.

He said a high-powered committee has submitted its recommendation on cashless medical facility for government staff and pensioners.

Cashless treatment facility was one of the top most demands of the state employees when they struck work earlier this month.
