Kundapur, Dec 8: A seven-day camp on nature cure was held in the JNR Kala Mandir at Byndoor under the joint auspices Indian UNESCO Club, Byndoor and Nisarga Trust (R), Sirsi.
Inaugurating the camp, the chief of the institutes of group health Riaz Hammed called for a public interest in nature cure for the simple reason that it facilitates a holistic view of maintaining both mental and physical health. The system of nature cure, he further said, would have no side effect as the modern lifestyle is full of stress and strain. The nature cure is becoming popular among the urban people, he added.
Jinnappa S B, supervisor of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Programme, presided over the function. Among the chief guests present on the dais were former Jaycee president Karunakara Shetty, Sheshayya of J N R Kalamadir, Krishna Murthy Udupa of UNESCO Trust, Dr Hitesh, Dr Gurupadappa, Dr Anu, Dr Anju of Nisarga Trust and Dr Jijesh, secretary, Nisarga Trust gave introductory speeches.
Dr Jitesh appealed to the audience to participate in the camp. Sudhakara of UNESCO Club welcomed the gathering. Nagaraja P Yedthere anchored the programme.
