New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS) : State-run Indian Oil Corp (IOC) on Wednesday announced an increase in the prices of transport fuels petrol by Rs 3.38 a litre and of diesel by Rs 2.67 per litre effective from midnight -- both at Delhi, with corresponding increase in other states.

"During the current fortnight, crude oil prices in the international market have witnessed a steep increase by 13 per cent (over $5 per barrel) compared to the previous fortnight, with a corresponding increase in the international prices of petroleum products," IOC said making their fortnightly revision in fuel prices.

    Last week the oil price is 48 dollar and it come down to 45 now and next week again it will come down to 40 to 42 dollar per barrel.

    It is surprising how India increasing the price. 80% oil India is importing from gulf.

    How come petrol and disel price go more. In gulf oil price is reduced again. and gulf is struggling.

    one side prices are increased, other side whether the bunks are giving pure petrol? or as per price paid by consumers , no way there is a lot of tricks in putting petrol, for 100 rupees we will get only rs.90 worth petrol if we are putting petrol in vehicles but unfortunately no one notice this.if we take a can they will put correct qnty,

    @ Rajesh its simple.. Compare 140$ barrel (2012-13) with petrol price at that time and now compare 30$ (2014-15), 40$ (2015-16)to current petrol price.. you will get the answer.. hint : all the other costs related to petrol have not fluctuated like oil. Its ok to support Modi Govt.. nothing wrong in that.. but when the Govt is not working for the people.. we have all the right to question and not sit as mute spectators in a democratic country

    The crude prices rose in the middle of this month & dropped now on August 31st to the lower level in international market.(Lie of Oil Companies stand exposed).
    Whatever the price in International markets No Indian Company was in the red in any year. India always has agreement with oil producing nations to buy their crude at fixed rate, it doesn't fluctuate but avarice fluctuates.
    It seems this government is helping their friends who funded their election to make hay at our expense. Feku bhakts always blame previous govt., for fuel rates then, ignoring the fact that crude prices had shot over $120/barrel.

    ‘Reliance Industries on Friday reported a bigger-than-expected 18 percent jump in June quarter net profit on account of highest OIL REFINING margin in eight years and robust PETROCHEMICAL earnings.
    Consolidated net profit at Rs 7,113 crore, or Rs 24.1 per share, in the April-June (2016) period was 18.1 per cent higher than Rs 6,024 crore in the same period of last fiscal, RIL said in a statement.’

    A concept change can save 80% of fuel consumption and generate additional 50% free and clean energy.
    Air pollution and sound pollution from vehicles also can be eliminated or drastically reduced.

    Why don't you tell your buddy Modi, to make arrangement to display price of a liter of petrol and diesel along with following...

    1.Total Price for Liter of Petrol/Diesel.
    2.Cost of Crude Oil to make a liter of petrol/diesel.
    3.Refining cost.
    4.Transportation cost.
    5.Central taxes and levies.
    6.State taxes and levies.
    7.Muncipal taxes.
    8.Commission for Petrol pumb.

    If this is displayed in all petrol pumps, people will throw eggs and tomatoes to PM and CM when they see them...may be they need to wear helmets...like riot police...

    PS-If Petrol/Diesel is refined in Adani/Ambani refinery, if taxes were paid if yes, how?
