Sandeep Kumar plays caste card, says he's targeted for being a Dalit

Sep 1 (Agencies): Former Women and Child Development Minister Sandeep Kumar, who was sacked yesterday over a CD expose showing him in objectionable position with at least six women, said on Thursday that it is a conspiracy and he is being targeted because he's dalit.

He claimed that he resigned not because he's 'guilty' but to ensure that a fair probe is done.  "I am targeting for taking up Dalit issues. I have full support of my family. They trust me." he said.

Kumar, has become the third AAP Cabinet minister to be removed by Kejriwal in the last year and a half. Earlier, law minister Jitender Tomar was dropped from Cabinet for forgery and food and supplies minister Asim Ahmad Khan was removed for reported corruption.
