Mangalore, Dec 10: The zonal meet of St Vincent De Paul Society (SVP) of the Kinnigoli deanery, comprising of eight parishes was held in Kinnigoli Church Hall near here recently.
Fr Alfred Pinto, parish priest of Kinnigoli and dean of Kinnigoli deanery, Sr Agnesia Frank, director of Sanjeevini, Fr Robert Pinto, assistant parish priest of Kirem church were the chief guests on the occasion.
In his inaugural speech Fr Alfred congratulated the members of SVP for their dedicated work and service to the poor and needy of the society and assured all the necessary help from the Kinnigoli deanery.
Sr Agnesia Frank who gave a brief talk about the social work in the society, called upon the SVP members to serve irrespective of cast and creed. New SVP members also took oath during this occasion.
Aveline Danthis, president, SVP Kinnigoli deanery welcomed the gathering. Lawrence D’Souza, secretary, presented the annual report. Lawrence Fernandes compered the programme. Nearly 150 members of the deanery participated in this programme.
