Udupi, Dec 10: A week long ‘Wart check-up clinic’ is being organized by Kasturba Hospital here from Monday December 10 to Saturday December 15, said Dr B H Anand Rao, chief operating officer and medical superintendent.
He further said that the professionals at the Hospital will use advanced methods to provide complete Wart care. Free consultation and skin examination will also be offered at concessional rates, he added.
Wart is a no-cancerous skin growth caused by viruses of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) family. There are more than 100 types of HPV viruses, a press release from the hospital stated.
Wart spreads to another person very easily. Warts on the skin may be passed to another person when that person touches the warts.
