Mangaluru, Sep 4: The records, relating to live mobile phone camera found in a ladies toilet of Mangaluru university campus, have been sent to Bengaluru cyber crime police for further action.
A girl student had found a mobile camera in the university ladies toilet on August 24. The management of the university later had found out that the mobile camera was used for recording purpose and two clippings of 15 and 30 minutes duration. The camera had also transmitted the images on August 7 and 11.
But public came to about the incident only after the matter was discussed in the university syndicate meeting on August 31.
After that the police came in. Mangaluru south division ACP Shruthi is investigating the incident presently. It is said that three students and some staff members were interrogated by the police so far. Police have reached a logical conclusion with some important leads in the case, sources said.
But they are waiting for the report from Bengaluru cyber crime police to confirm their findings. A week time is required to get the report, it is gathered.
