Katrina, Sidharth offloaded from AI plane at IGI

New Delhi, Sep 6 (PTI) : Actors Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra were offloaded by Air India officials from their scheduled flight to Mumbai after they delayed their boarding and allegedly indulged in promoting their upcoming movie at Indira Gandhi International Airport's terminal area with fans.

Officials said the incident was reported late last night after both the actors reached the airport and got their boarding passes to fly to Mumbai in the Air India flight number AI-317.

Post the security check, the duo were seen mingling with fans in the duty-free area of the airport to promote their upcoming film "Baar Baar Dekho", the officials said. They said both the actors were asked by airport officials to board the flight scheduled for 9:40 PM but they kept delaying the flight.

Finally, sources said, the airline decided to offload them at about 10:45 PM as other passengers complained about the delay in departure. However, Air India officials said the Bollywood actors were not deplaned, as they were issued boarding passes but "they chose not to travel as part of their own decision".

Good decision. People who obey the rules should not be punished at the cost of those who flout rules. Celebrity on the silver screen cannot be celebrity everywhere.

Bollywood stars, who bare to earn money have a feeling that they are super people from Mars. I wonder how their parents, brothers etc. watch them bare. Only for the sake of money ? AI should have left them behind and stick to their schedule.

Why Airport authorities/security is allowing such melodrama to take place in restricted area. There are other avenues to promote their films.

Both these individuals do not know acting. Katrina Torque is just cashing on the fair skin adulation of urban desi Indians, no talent, less cloths. Sidharth,, never heard of him. Hats off to AI for booting these 2.

India's deity worship of the movie stars-politicians etc are total unheard in most of the countries of the world.

Actually, in other countries, the movie stars and politicians will act more humble before the public and display less shining in the public.

treat them equal and not on expense on other passengers. once even dilip kumar traveling on plane and all the time he trying to present himself as a star to next seated passenger. latter on it learned co-passenger is none other than jamshedji tata. what film stars think themselves god only knows. sometime money speaks.
