Mangalore: AIEEE must for B Tech Admission at NIT-K

Mangalore, Dec 13: Admission for the first year B Tech at NITK, Surathkal for the academic year 2008-09 would be done only on the basis of All India Engineering / Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE) as in the previous years, stated a press release.

CBSE will be conducting the AIEEE on April 27, 2008. Candidates interested in admission to NITK, Surathkal or any other NIT may visit AIEEE website: www.aieee.nic.in for complete information.

Application can also be made online. The information bulletin can also be obtained from designated branches of the Syndicate Bank on or before January 5. The filled in applications should reach CBSE before January 10.

Applications will be available at the Light House Hill Road branch of the Syndicate Bank in Mangalore. Admission will be done strictly as per rank in AIEEE-2008 and 50 percent of the seats in NITK, Surathkal are reserved for students of Karnataka.

Reservation for SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates would be applicable as per existing rules, the release added.
