New Delhi, Sep 15 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday congratulated Devendra Jhajharia for winning a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.

In a message to Jhajharia, the President said: "I am delighted to know that you have won the gold medal in men's javelin throw in athletics at the Rio Paralympics Games 2016."

"You have done India proud and are truly an inspiration to the youth of our country. The whole nation rejoices with your family and you on this outstanding achievement. I congratulate you and wish the very best for the future," he added.
