Udupi, Dec 17: The 74th All-India Kannada Sahitya Sammelana has now converted into a ‘Sammelana of a particular political party’ remarked Congress leader Vinaykumar Sorake here, on Sunday December 16.
In press release issued by the Congress party Sorake said that the protest was planned to embarrass the former chief minister M Veerappa Moily and the union minister Oscar Fernandes. He also said that it was a well-planned conspiracy against them, to embarrass them when they were giving their speeches.
Vinaykumar pointed out that there was not a single statement in favour of the pro-Kannada decisions taken by the Centre. The entire Sammelana was dominated by attacks targeted at the Union Government.
