Bantwal, Sep 19: In a head-on collision between a gas tanker and a bike near Amai Bridge at Perne on Monday, September 19, the seriously injured bike rider succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.


Mustafa alias Puthu (35) from Hirthadka Janatha colony in Uppinangadi is the deceased.

Mustafa was on his way from Mani to Uppinangadi when the gas tanker on the way to Mangaluru from Bengaluru hit the bike. Mustafa who was thrown to the road in the impact was being rushed to hospital when he died.

Traffic police have registered a case.

Mustafa is married and has three daughters, all studying in primary school. He was a daily wage worker and was the only member earning in the poor family.
