Bengaluru, Sep 23: Reliable sources said that Congress high command has given its nod for re-induction of K J George into the state ministry.
Chief minister, Siddaramaiah, who had visited New Delhi to discuss Cauvery water dispute, is said to have discussed the matter of George's entry back into the state cabinet. George had resigned as minister of Bengaluru development and town planning under pressure after deputy superintendent of police, M K Ganapathi, committed suicide in a Madikeri lodge after naming George as well as two senior police officers as responsible for his harassment in a television interview.
The chief minister met state Congress in-charge, Digvijay Singh, at New Delhi and gave him detailed information relating to Cauvery river water imbroglio. During this period, he also raised the issue of taking George back into the ministry in view of clean chit given by criminal investigation department which probed the case.
It is learnt that the high command has asked Siddaramaiah to wait till the Cauvery river water row currently raging the state settles down before including George into the ministry.
