Panaji, Dec 20: The Goa police on Wednesday evening arrested a Dutch national for possessing drugs worth Rs 20 lac. He was lifted from Anjuna beach in North Goa.
"Hendrik Rudolph Ribbius, 55 years, was caught red-handed by anti-narcotics sleuths and 1,956 tablets of LSD (dilysergic acid diethylamide) were found in his possession," Omprakash Kudchadkar, superintendent of police (ANC), told reporters last evening.
The police stated that the accused had arrived in the state in October and has been frequently visiting Goa in the past.
The accused has been booked under section 22 (c) of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances ACt, 2001, the SP said.
