Mumbai, Sep 27: BSKB Association and Gopalakrishna Public Trust celebrated their anniversary and collected contributions for the extension of the building at Ashrayadhama, shelter for senior citizens at Nerul on Sunday September 25 afternoon.
Karnataka Bank regional manager B Nagaraj Rao inaugurated the celebrations. HDFC's Sanjay Nanche, Reliance Industries managing director B Narayan, IOB company's retired managing director M Narendra, IDFC managing director Sadashiva Rao, Lioness district president Ujwala Kobhrekar, Kannada Sahitya Parishat Dakshina Kannada
district president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura together lit the traditional lamp and set the cultural programme in motion.
Dances, entertainment programmes and songs were sung as part of the cultural programme. Senior citizens between 65 and 98 years of age actively participated. Uma Nagapal compered the cultural programme.
Sangha office bearers Vaman Holla, Shailini Rao, Haridas Bhat, P C N Rao, Y Gururaj Bhat, Avinash Shastri, Kusum Srinivas, Ashraya convener Chandravathi Rao were present.
Ashraya resident Dharmambal said the prayer. Secretary Ananth Padmanabha Pothi welcomed the gathering. President Dr Suresh Rao presented a flower bouquet to the host. Chitra Melmane introduced the guests and compered the programme.
