Udupi: Dec 21: "Shree Krishna Math paryaya crisis will be solved soon as nobody can take away my rights from me," said Puthige Math seer Sugunendratheertha Swamiji who is holding a nationwide tour with regard to Paryaya Peetharohana and hence as a part of the entourage, he was in Madikeri on Thursday.
Addressing the reporters at Lakshminarasimha Kalyana Mantap, after offering a prayer to river Kaveri, he said that he will ascend to the Paryayapeeth on January 18 for the third time and there will be no change in this decision at any cost.
When questioned about the next step he would take if his decision does not materialise, Swamiji said, "Paryaya is our right and we do not need to get anybody’s permission to worship Lord Shri Krishna."
Informing that across the State there are large number of people who are supporting him, he added that the discussions against him do not dishearten him at all.
"I will reach Udupi next Friday and after that I will hold discussion on the Paryaya issue to put an end to the matter once and for all. This is my belief," he added.
When questioned, why Pejawar Seer was opposing ‘Sagarolanghana’ while he himself had welcomed Putthige Seer after his return from abroad on a public stage, Putthige seer said that there are two beliefs, firstly it is a fear that if all seers are permitted to go abroad then no seer will be available at the Udupi Shri Krishna Math at all and the second reason is that it is a general belief that ‘Videsha’ (foreign) is impure.
Contradicting the belief that foreign is impure, he said that the entire world itself is pure and hence there is no point considering foreign to be impure.
Plans
Formation of Shri Krishna’s udupi, construction of another ‘Bhojana shale’ (dining hall), perpetuating ‘Annadaana’, construction of ‘vishwa yathri nivas’ (foreign tourist guest house), centre for self employment, construction of Geetha Mandir at an estimated cost of Rs 12 crore in association with the ISKCON, establishment of Shri Krishna Nyayalaya and Religious World Peace Convention. These are all the future plans that Putthige Seer has in store for Udupi on ascending to the Paryaya Peeth on January 18.
