Mangalore, Dec 24: BJP state president D V Sadanand Gowda has said that Narendra Modi's win in Gujarat elections was a victory for Hindutva and BJP will follow a similar pro-development governance if it came to power in the state.
He was speaking at the BJP convention 'Vikasa' held here on Sunday December 23.
Referring to vented dam project in the city, Gowda accused the Congress government of interfering with the release of Rs 40 crore for the project.
Gowda alleged that though the previous government had promised to release the said fund, the present Congress government has been delaying the project by offering to release only one-third of the sum and leaving the rest to be raised through special fund.
He urged Congress leaders Veerappa Moily and Janardhan Poojary to take action in the matter and release Rs 40 crore for the driking water project.
Among those present were former district in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty, BJP state spokesperson Suresh Kumar, state general secretary Shobha Karandlaje and former MLAs Yogish Bhat and Krishna J Palemar.
