Udupi Dec 24: In a shocking incident a young girl of 17 years was allegedly repeatedly raped by six persons over a period of nearly three weeks at various places in Udupi district. In this connection, four of the culprits have been arrested, while two are still at large.
 
According to police sources within the Kundapur Mahila Police station, the said victim of sexual assault had been to a fair at Koteshwara with her mother on November 26. At the fair she was accosted by one of the accused, Rajesh, who by duping the gullible girl brought her to Udupi and allegedly raped her.
 
From then began her saga of mental and physical trauma with Rajesh sending her to Kundapur on Nov 29, where another accused Harish took her to a hotel and allegedly raped her. Next was the room boy, Suresh who promising matrimony allegedly did the same despicable act at the hotel and at Basrur. He then also took her to Sirsi in Uttara Kannada district, before sending her back.
 
Once again the same act was repeated by Santosh at Marvanthe before a similar act was done by Raghu and Ravi at Marvanthe on Dec 14. Finally her ordeal ended with her complaint here on Sunday, Dec 23. The police were quick in taking action and have arrested Harish, Suresh, Santosh, and Raghu, while Ravi and Rajesh are still absconding.
