Moto Z, Moto Z Play smartphones arrive in India


New Delhi, Oct 4 (IANS): US technology firm Motorola Mobility (a Lenovo Brand) on Tuesday launched two new flagship smartphones -- Moto Z and Moto Z Play -- in India.

Consumers can buy Moto Z and Moto Z Play starting October 17 exclusively on Amazon and Flipkart at Rs 39,999 and Rs 24,999, respectively. 

Moto Z features 5.5-inch quad-HD AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and comes with water-repellant coating. 

Moto Z sports 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilisation and laser auto-focus and a 5MP front camera with flash and houses 2,600mAh battery. 

Available in 64GB of internal storage option, the Moto Z supports additional space up to 2TB via a micro-SD card.

Moto Z Play comes with 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display, 2.0GHz octa-core processor paired up with 3GB of RAM, and houses 3,510mAh battery that also supports TurboPower charging. 

The device sports 16MP laser auto-focus rear camera and a 5MP front camera. 

The company also launched Moto Mods, a collection of inter-changeable backs. 

Moto Mods -- including JBL SoundBoost speaker, Hasselblad True Zoom camera, Instashare projector, Incipio offGRID power pack and style shells -- magnetically attach to Moto Z and Moto Z Play seamlessly adding advanced functionality.
