Bahrain, Dec 24: Kannada Sangha Bahrain, a pioneer club closely associated with promoting Kannada language & culture celebrated “Kannada Vaibhava 2007” at Al Reja School Auditorium on 21st December 2007 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The programme started at 10.a.m. by lighting the lamp by former Member of Parliament & Chancellor of KLE University, Prabhaker Kore along with K. P. Manjunath Sagar, editor of “Hridayavahini” & the President & executive committee of Kannada Sangha.
Jagdish Shivapura known as “Junior Rajkumar” enthralled the crowd with singing & mimicry. Vidvan U. K. Praveen, Director of Nritya Vidyanilaya Mangalore displayed the classical dances with his team. K. P. Putturaya entertained the audience with humorous jokes.
The local artists of Kannada Sangha were actively involved in various entertainment activities.
Prabhakar Kore & K. P. Manjunath Sagar were felicitated by the Kannada Sangha for their monolithic service in various fields Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Mr. Balakrishna Shetty was the chief guest.
Kannada Sangha President Rajkumar welcomed the dignitaries, guests & members. Entertainment Secretary Kamalaksha Amin compered the programme.
