6 injured in gas cylinder explosion in Madhya Pradesh town


Rewa (Madhya Pradesh), Oct 7 (IANS): Six persons were injured on Friday when a gas cylinder used to fill balloons exploded next to a temple in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh.

Devotees had gathered in large numbers at the Rani Talab temple when the gas cylinder exploded, injuring six persons and causing panic among the people. 

Of the six injured, three were in serious condition, the police said.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced ex gratia payment of Rs 50,000 for each the seriously injured and Rs 25,000 each for those with minor injuries.
