India declare at 557/5 on Day 2 against New Zealand


Indore, Oct 9 (IANS): India declared their first innings after the tea session at 557 for five on the second day of the third and final Test against New Zealand at the Holkar Cricket Stadium here on Sunday.

Batsman Rohit Sharma (51) and Ravindra Jadeja (17) remained unbeaten when skipper Virat Kohli decided to declare their innings.

For New Zealand, Trent Boult and Jeetan Patel took two wickets each while Mitchell Santner sclaped one wicket.
