Mangalore, Dec 27: The annual sports meet of Dakshina Kannada district police was inaugurated at the DAR grounds at Pandeshwar here on Thursday December 27 evening.
Delivering the inaugural address, district deputy commissioner M Maheshwar Rao said that the police personnel have keen interest to participate in sports event and the district police are not an exception. Participation in sports events helps one to relax and have fun, he added.
N Satish Kumar, superintendent of police welcomed the gathering and Lokesh Kumar, additional superintendent of police proposed the vote of thanks.
The personnel from District Armed Reserve Police, city sub division, Panambur sub division, Puttur sub division and district women police took part in the event.
