Chikmagalur: Christmas Celebrated at Cathedral Church

Chikmagalur, Dec 28: Christmas celebrations were held at Chikmagalur Diocesan Cathedral, Indira Gandhi Road here recently.

Vipul Kumar, superintendent of police and Praveen Pawar, assistant superintendent of police inaugurated the celebrations by cutting a cake.

It was followed by a stage programme, inaugurated by district deputy commissioner Navinraj Singh.

Earlier, the Eucharistic Mass was held at the cathedral, celebrated by Bishop Dr Anthonyswamy and attended by thousands of faithful.

Michael Baptist, secretary of Federation of Karnataka Christian Associations, Fr Daniel, parish priest of Cathedral Church and others were present on the occasion.

Fr David Prakash, assistant parish priest of Cathedral Church, compered the programme.
