Two held for blackmailing Delhi woman


New Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS): Two people were arrested in Delhi on Tuesday for allegedly trying to extort Rs 10 lakh from a woman by threatening to circulate her obscene pictures, police said.

The accused -- Rajeev Gupta and Akash Pathak -- were nabbed by police from Anand Vihar area on the basis of a complaint filed the woman.

"The accused made phone calls to the victim demanding Rs 10 lakh after threatening to circulate obscene pictures and videos of her on the social media," police said.

Four mobiles phones and two pen drives allegedly containing some obscene videos/photographs have been recovered from them, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Rishi Pal.
